Book recommendations for an almost six year old? Heeeelp!

Hmm, trying to remember what our son liked at that age... Horrid Henry, Mr Men (we still love them actually), Dr Seuss, Roald Dahl, "It was a dark and stormy night" by the Ahlbergs, and I think we read "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" around that age too if I remember correctly. I'll see if I can come up with any other suggestions. Still, nothing beats browsing through a bookstore. Got any trips planned to the UK in the near future?
