I think the editing function was abused back in the day so it got switched off.

Well then start practising, I'm right here
Sadly I live not really near you - I'm in Erkelenz, that's a small town between Aachen and Düsseldorf.
We've only recently returned from a lovely holiday in Dorset. I really miss coleslaw, you can't get this here. And Roskilly's ice cream, that's so yummy!

Try the BBC Good Food website. They have tons of great recipes.

Or go with Nigel Slater's classic recipe.

Re: Wow it is so quiet here!
Hey there!
Thought I'd pop in and say "hi" since it's obviously gone quiet again here.
I miss speaking English so much! There aren't many native speakers around here, at least that I know of. The only one I'm speaking English to at the moment is my little sweetpea as we'd like her to grow up bilingually like her mummy. But... well, all she does is coo and babbel so it's not like we're having mind-blowing conversations.
I used to have lots of skype calls back home so I could at least speak English with my mum and friends (back in the days of being a childless university student) but the babe's taking up most of my time nowadays, that plus time difference makes it hard to keep up the calls.
Oh well, too bad all of you are so far away I would have loved to meet up for a chat.
Cheers!

Hello and welcome Biene!
Ooh, meeting up for a chat with like-minded English-speaking mamas would be great. Such a shame we all live so far apart...
