Hey guys,

I am looking for some english books, flyers and information in general about breastfeeding , co-sleeping and carrying a baby for my boyfriend who is from NZ.

Someone got some tips?

I think there are several books bei the LaLecheLegue that are English in original.

On Co-sleeping I'd recommend Deborah Jackson's Three in a Bed: The Benefits of Sleeping with your Baby (it lists plenty more books on the topic in the bibliography) and James McKenna's Sleeping with your Baby: A Parent's Guide to Cosleeping.

On babywearing I'd try the forums on thebabywearer.com.

For literature on breastfeeding I'd check out La Leche League.

Someone already mentioned William Sears. I'd definitely stock up on his books, such as The Attachment Parenting Book.

My OH and I found Your Pregnancy Bible very informative during my pregnancy. We'd read it together in the evenings before going to sleep. It really is about pregnancy and birth rather than the stuff following baby's birth. But very informative nonetheless.

No other books come to mind right now but I'll have another think.

ich habe ja alles auf englisch, damit mein mann und ich es beide lesen (mein mann lernt jetzt mit dem kind zusammen deutsch, zum lesen reicht es aber noch nicht).

die sears-bücher kriegt man sehr leicht gebraucht (zum beispiel über amazon uk). ich finde nicht alle von denen hilfreich, gerade zum familienbett das ist eigentlich nur gut, um vom familienbett zu überzeugen und nicht so hilfreich bei tatsächlichen problemen (*find*). ansonsten sind meine wichtigsten bücher mothering a nursing toddler, babyledweaning und - vor allem - meredith small, our babies ourseves. sie erklärt sehr grundlegend, warum babies, getragen werden wollen, nicht alleine sein können und stillen müssen. ist so ne anthropologische studie. sehr interessant. ein bisschen entideologisierte liedloff, die mir nicht so gefallen hat.
